“Once upon a time, there was a man who had worked his entire life and saved all of his money.
When it came to money, he was a real scrooge. He was obsessed with money and told his wife soon before he died, ‘Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me.’ I’d like to take all of my money to the hereafter.’
So he persuaded his wife to make a heartfelt vow to him that when he died, she would place all of the money in the casket with him. When he died one day.”
“He was spread out in the casket, and his wife sat next to their best buddy in black.” ‘Wait a minute!’ the wife exclaimed as they ended the ceremony and the undertakers were about to close the casket.
She had a shoebox with her, so she carried it over to the casket and placed it inside. The casket was then locked and rolled away by the undertakers.”
“‘I hope you weren’t crazy enough to put all that money in there with that stingy old man,’ her companion replied.
‘I promised,’ she said. I can’t lie because I’m a decent Christian. ‘I promised him I’d put that money in the coffin with him.’
‘Are you saying you put every penny of his money in the coffin with him?’
‘I absolutely did,’ the woman replied. ‘I gathered everything, placed it in my account, and wrote him a cheque.’
