After accompanying his father to a White House news conference with President Donald Trump, it’s safe to say that Elon Musk’s son X Æ A-12 left a lasting impact.
Musk, 53, and Trump, 78, met to watch the latter sign an executive order ordering government agencies to collaborate with the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) cost-cutting initiatives and to respond to a series of questions from reporters.
However, during the pivotal meeting at the Oval Office, the four-year-old, referred to as X, certainly made his mark. He made faces, climbed all over his father, and even seemed to wipe his bogies on the Resolute desk.
Soon after, it became viral. One commenter said, “Elon’s kid is feasting on his boogers in front of Trump.”
While another viewer posted, “I’m watching Elon Musk’s son pick his nose, eat boogers and wipe them on the Resolute desk. There’s no way this kid is not annoying Trump.”

Little X’s words to Trump at the meeting have been the subject of internet speculation, with some people assuming that he told the president, “I want you to shut your mouth up.”
Meanwhile, other viewers heard the little boy say, “You are not the president, you need to go away.”
Musk and his ex-girlfriend Grimes have three children together, including X, who seemed to shuffle someone off-camera before telling them to “shut your mouth.” In addition, he made reporters chuckle by sticking his fingers in his father’s ears.
“I thought my son might enjoy this, but it’s, he’s sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff,” Musk pointed out, before saying to the toddler, “So it’s been hard to hear sometimes.”
“Hey! Stop that.”
Grimes is not happy that his son is in the White House.
Since her son’s Oval Office appearance went viral online, Grimes—real name Claire Boucher—has spoken out.
She made a statement on the subject on Musk’s platform X.
Writing in response to another user, she said, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Musk and Grimes decided to end their relationship after four years of dating, two years after X’s birth in 2022.
They also have two additional children together: a daughter named Exa Dark Siderael, who is three years old, and a son named Techno Mechanicus, who is two years old.
