Trump Makes Unexpected Move Against National Security Council Members

Posted on April 19, 2025 By Star No Comments on Trump Makes Unexpected Move Against National Security Council Members

President Donald Trump has reportedly dismissed up to six National Security Council staffers amid concerns about their loyalty to his administration. According to multiple outlets, including The New York Times, the reported firings came after a meeting between Trump and conservative activist Laura Loomer. During the meeting, held Wednesday, Loomer is said to have presented Trump with research identifying staffers she believed were not loyal to him.

The names of the staffers who were reportedly dismissed have not been disclosed publicly. National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes told The Associated Press that the White House does not comment on personnel matters. According to the wire service, others in attendance at the meeting included Vice President J.D. Vance, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Loomer later confirmed on social media that she had met with the president.

“I woke up this morning to learn that there are still people in and around the West Wing who are LEAKING to the hostile, left-wing media about President Trump’s *confidential* and *private* meetings in the Oval Office. I want to reiterate how important it is that people who gain access to the White House or the administration respect the privacy of their conversations with President Trump and his senior staff,” she posted on X.

“Out of respect for President @realDonaldTrump and the privacy of the Oval Office, I’m going to decline on divulging any details about my Oval Office meeting with President Trump. It was an honor to meet with President Trump and present him with my research findings. I will continue working hard to support his agenda, and I will continue reiterating the importance of, and the necessity of STRONG VETTING, for the sake of protecting the President of the United States of America, and our national security,” she added.
