You may think you can, but the reality is, you cannot dislike the vast majority of the American legacy media enough. Stuffed with left-wing ideologues who have a visceral hatred for this country as founded, while they support and vote almost exclusively for Democrats, there isn’t a day that goes by when they aren’t shilling for their party of choice or flat-out creating false narratives about Republicans, especially about the Trump administration.
Case in point: Democrats and their media shills seem to believe their best attack on the Trump administration is over its policies on illegal aliens—but that’s one of the few areas where he enjoys strong approval. Instead, they tie themselves to 80/20 issues on the losing 20 side, as seen in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case and the Wisconsin judge’s arrest for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade ICE agents.
Now there’s another example making its rounds. Headlines screamed that a two-year-old American citizen was deported, with critics invoking “due process,” the left’s word of the month. But there’s more to the story. On NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio debunked that framing, also addressing similar cases involving a four-year-old and a seven-year-old. “Three U.S. citizens ages 4, 7, and 2 were not deported — their mothers, who were illegally in this country, were deported. The children went with their mothers!” Rubio declared. Nothing is preventing the children from coming back into the country, he explained. “You make it sound like ICE agents kicked down the door, grabbed the 2-year-old, and threw him on an airplane!” an exasperated Rubio said. “That’s misleading! That’s just not true.”

That’s just not true.” The secretary of state then offered up his version of what the awful media headlines would be if the administration had kept the children.
“You have two choices. You can say yes, you can take your child, whether they’re a citizen or not, because it’s your child. Or you can say, yes, you can go, but your child must stay behind. And then your headlines would read, ‘U.S. holding hostage 2-year-old, 4-year-old, 7-year-old, while mother deported,” he said. Meanwhile, Legal analyst Margot Cleveland made a further point about the case of the 2-year-old:
The mother was allowed to keep her two-year-old with her in a hotel, and the U.S. provided free transportation so the child could stay by her side, according to Cleveland. The children may return, and the family can make whatever arrangements they choose; if they have relatives here, that’s up to them. A hearing is set for May 16 to address any questions in the two-year-old’s case, and further proceedings will likely follow in the other cases to examine any issues. But, as usual, the media omitted this context.
