‘That’s A Felony’: Sure Sounds Like Homan Just Warned AOC For the Last Time

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is continuing to tweak border czar Tom Homan’s nose over her providing instructions to illegal immigrants about how they can avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation actions under the guise of exercising her “First Amendment rights.” But the former bartender from the Bronx got another not-so-subtle warning from Homan on Tuesday that her FAFO – fool around and find out – schtick is moving her ever so closer to a felony charge of impeding federal immigration enforcement.

In a segment on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, the host played a clip of ‘AOC’ at a town hall meeting this week were she essentially dared Homan to ‘come at me bro’: “When we first did one of these seminars, Tom Homan, then acting director of ICE, said he was going to threaten to refer me to DOJ. Um, because I’m using my free speech rights in order to advise people of their constitutionally guaranteed protections. And he may want to do it again today. And to that I say, come for me.”

Asked to respond, Homan said: “We all know what she is doing. Like I just said, she’s educating the worst of the worst how to evade law enforcement. But the tables have now turned. She’s educating people how to get prosecuted because you have a final order, it is illegal to not comply with that order. It’s a crime to take steps to not comply with ICE removal orders or not comply with ICE actions taken into custody. You can’t hinder your own removal that was ordered by the federal judge. I would like AOC to read Title 8, United States Code, 1253 starting tomorrow.”

Ingraham then brought up the fact that even Democrat judges in “sanctuary cities” have now been arrested for harboring illegal aliens or trying to help them evade ICE, before asking Homan if he expected any more such arrests – with clear implications for AOC’s behavior: “I think so. In sanctuary cities you will see more judges making bad decisions. I have said from day one, you cannot support ICE. You can support sanctuary cities all you want. But if you cross that line of impediment, which is a felony. If you cross that line of knowingly harboring illegal aliens from ICE that’s a felony. We will ask the DOJ to prosecute. I’m not a prosecutor, we are certainly going to ask for those prosecutions. You know the Democrats have said forever: ‘No one’s above the law.’”

If I were you, AOC, I’d drop the ‘I’m a young, Hispanic, untouchable Democrat from New York’ attitude and read the statute Homan referred you to. It might help you avoid an arrest of your own because it sure doesn’t sound like the border czar is kidding around.
