President Donald Trump, whose second-term agenda has been hampered by court obstructions, announced many judicial nominees in Truth Social postings and lamented in a post on Wednesday that the judiciary is stopping him from carrying out the duties that Americans elected him to perform.
“Our Court System is not letting me do the job I was Elected to do. Activist judges must let the Trump Administration deport murderers, and other criminals who have come into our Country illegally, WITHOUT DELAY!!!” he declared in a social media post.
In a Tuesday tweet, Trump nominated Missouri Principal Deputy Solicitor General Maria Lanahan as a nominee to serve as a judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, describing her as “a true patriot.”
In another article, he referred to Judge Cristian Stevens, who presently serves on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, as “a great patriot.”
In a Tuesday tweet, the president also named Zachary Bluestone to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, calling him “a True Legal Warrior”.
According to a White House news release issued on Tuesday, “Zachary Bluestone is appellate chief and a violent crimes prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.”
Trump has nominated Show-Me State Solicitor General Joshua Divine to the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.
“I am proud to nominate Edward Aloysius O’Connell to serve as Associate Judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Eddie will help fix Violent Crime in the City by restoring the RULE OF LAW to Washington, D.C.,” Trump declared in a post on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the White House, “Edward Aloysius O’Connell is Chief of Staff and Deputy General Counsel of the Office of the Inspector General of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board.”
The president’s judicial nominees must be confirmed by the US Senate.
Last week, Trump announced Whitney Hermandorfer’s nomination to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, describing her as “a fighter who will inspire confidence in our legal system.”
She is the Director of the Strategic Litigation Unit at the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office.
Trump made headlines on Wednesday when he withdrew the nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat for United States Surgeon General.
The president has already revealed a replacement nominee.
Nesheiwat’s confirmation hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee was set on Thursday. The office of Sen. Bernie Sanders, the committee’s leading Democrat, announced early Wednesday that her candidacy was withdrawn.
Trump stated that he intends to propose Dr. Casey Means for surgeon general, citing her “MAHA,” or Make America Healthy Again, qualifications. Means, an entrepreneur and health advocate, is connected to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and was preferred by Kennedy’s friends over Neshiewat.
Neshiewat’s withdrawal stems from concerns about how she has represented her degree and qualifications on social media and in previous media appearances.
Nesheiwat’s public page on Linkedin, for example, stated an M.D. degree from the University of Arkansas, despite the fact that she graduated from the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten.
The University of Arkansas confirmed that Nesheiwat finished her residency there, but she was not awarded a degree.

On Sunday, conservative activist Laura Loomer wrote on X that she opposed Neshewiat’s confirmation because she supported COVID-19 vaccinations during the epidemic. Bloomberg News was the first to disclose her departure.
“I am looking forward to continuing to support President Trump and working closely with Secretary Kennedy in a senior policy role to Make America Healthy Again!” Nesheiwat posted on X. “My focus continues to be on improving the health and well-being of all Americans, and that mission hasn’t changed.”
Nesheiwat has previously worked as a medical contributor for Fox News. Her brother-in-law is Mike Waltz, who was recently ousted as Trump’s national security advisor and has been nominated for ambassador to the United Nations.
