Ilhan Omar’s Daughter Makes Shock Post Online Amid LA Riots

Posted on June 10, 2025 By Star No Comments on Ilhan Omar’s Daughter Makes Shock Post Online Amid LA Riots

The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, posted a story on social media showing kids playing jump rope in what looks like a rundown L.A. neighborhood.

But it’s the caption that has people talking.

“From LA to Rafah, there is one common oppressor. Death to the colonial empire. Life for our children,” it says.

With everything going on in L.A. right now, the rioting, looting, and chaos, many people are calling this post tone-deaf at best.

But others are focused on something even more disturbing: the “death to the colonial empire” line, which many read as “death to America.” It’s a phrase we’ve heard before from the regime in Iran.

And now it’s being echoed by the daughter of a sitting member of Congress.

“A sitting congresswoman’s daughter is calling for the death of America and Israel. Isra Hirsi has been arrested at antisemitic encampments that endangered Jewish students. Now she posts “Death to the colonial empire.” This is dangerous and cannot be ignored, @Ilhan. America gave your family refuge, this is how your daughter repays it?” an X account named StopAntisemties said.

“This is how Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, a recent graduate of Columbia University, feels about America. Deport the whole family @IlhanMN ‘From LA to Rafah, There is one Common Oppressor Death to the Colonial Empire Life for our Children,’” another said.

“This is an outrage! The fact that individuals with such inflammatory and destructive views, like Isra Hirsi, are connected to someone serving in Congress-namely Ilhan Omar-is utterly unacceptable. The post’s call for “death to the colonial empire” and its apparent support for violence, linking LA to Rafah, is a blatant attack on the values and stability of our nation. It’s galling that we have people in positions of power whose family members openly advocate for the downfall of Western civilization, and it raises serious questions about their loyalty and fitness to serve,” another user said.

“No American should have to tolerate this, regardless of who voted them into office. The integrity of our democratic process is undermined when such radical ideologies are given a platform-let alone when there’s even a whisper of potential election irregularities, like the possibility of fraudulent votes (e.g., from deceased individuals), which only fuels the fire of distrust. This is a betrayal of the trust placed in our elected officials, and it demands immediate action. Congress must address this scandal head-on, investigate thoroughly, and ensure that those who seek to dismantle our country from within are held accountable. The silence or inaction of our leaders on this matter is deafening-and it’s time for that to change!” she said.

A pro-Israel lobbying group could be gearing up to challenge Minnesota Democratic “Squad” member Ilhan Omar ahead of the 2026 midterms, according to a report late last week.

A recent poll distributed to constituents in Omar’s district bears the signature characteristics of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) political strategy, The Intercept reported.

In a section labeled “statements critics might make about Ilhan Omar,” it characterized her as “one of the most anti-Israel members of Congress,” highlighted her vote against a resolution condemning the October 7 attacks for omitting references to Palestinian civilian casualties, and noted her opposition to arms sales to Israel.

Respondents were then asked to rate how concerned they felt after hearing this information, said the report.

Then it asked respondents whether Winkler being supported by “a right-wing, pro-Israel group that is funded by Trump-supporting billionaires and has endorsed dozens of Republican members of Congress who support Trump and his MAGA agenda” raises any concerns.

Screenshots of the survey reviewed by The Intercept did not reveal who commissioned the poll. However, political strategists familiar with AIPAC’s tactics view the poll as a likely indication that the group is preparing to target Rep. Ilhan Omar in next year’s midterm elections.
