New Low For Pritzker – Hiding Behind Kids To Keep ICE Out of Chicago

Posted on October 31, 2025 By Star No Comments on New Low For Pritzker – Hiding Behind Kids To Keep ICE Out of Chicago

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) just hit a new low — even by Democrat standards. In a shameless political stunt, he’s using kids who just want to go trick-or-treating as props to attack ICE agents for doing their jobs in Chicago.

It’s the kind of cheap grandstanding we’ve come to expect from the left: demonize law enforcement, play the victim, and wrap it all in a feel-good excuse about “protecting children.”

Pritzker sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security — addressed to Secretary Kristi Noem and other senior officials, including Acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons — packed with fear-mongering rhetoric clearly meant to scare parents and kids ahead of Halloween. Instead of standing with law enforcement or addressing real public safety issues in Illinois, Pritzker chose to politicize a children’s holiday to score points with the open-borders crowd.

“Illinois families deserve to spend Halloween weekend without fear. No child should be forced to inhale tear gas or other chemical agents while trick or treating in their own neighborhood,” Pritzker wrote. “Illinois children should not be robbed of their innocence. Let them enjoy a time-honored American tradition safely and peacefully. Please let children be children for one holiday, free from intimidation and fear.”

Then on Thursday, Pritzker shamelessly whined to members of the press and accused DHS of “attacking peaceful neighborhoods and terrorizing kids in Halloween parades.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem hit back, however, during an appearance Thursday on Fox News.

“[Pritzker] has asked you specifically to pause immigration enforcement in [Chicago] so he says that kids can safely celebrate Halloween. Do you have any plans to alter activity on that day?” Fox News host Sandra Smith asked Noem, who ripped Pritzker and said, “He’s lying.”

“No, we’re going to be out on the streets in full force and increase our activities to make sure kids are safe,” Noem continued. “Every day in Chicago, we are arresting murderers, child pedophiles, those who have perpetrated assault.”

She added: “Every day we’re on the streets of Chicago arresting people who have committed murders, rapists, those who are trafficking drugs and have been victimizing that city for years,” the secretary went on to say. “And no matter what Gov. Pritzker says, we’re going to do our job.”

It’s just the latest disgraceful move by Pritzker in his ongoing campaign against the hardworking men and women of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. These agents are doing everything they can to keep Americans safe after Joe Biden’s catastrophic failure to secure the border — yet Pritzker treats them like villains.

Democrats now officially stand with illegal aliens over the American citizens they’re supposed to represent. Remember that the next time you vote.
