Despite being 63 years old and having 18 grandchildren, Cheryl McCain’s rise to fame on social media can be attributed to her marriage to 26-year-old Quran McCain.
When Quran was only 15 years old, the two met while working at a Dairy Queen.
Despite their claims that there were no romantic sentiments or exchanges at the time, they eventually clicked when they happened to run into each other again at a gas station.
After spending weeks together, Quran, who was then 23 years old, expressed his affections.
They started dating in April 2021, got married in September, and set up joint social media accounts to share their lives together.
But the union didn’t sit well with Cheryl’s kids.
“I have seven kids but I only see one of them as the others do not support our relationship,” Cheryl stated. “It hurts me, it hurts me a lot.”
“They were my whole life and all of a sudden I wanted to be married to someone I had fallen in love with and they didn’t support that. I have 18 grandchildren and I only see three of them.”
The pair has now declared that they have found a surrogate and are expanding their family by having a child of their own.
Cheryl posted a TikTok video of herself holding up ultrasound pictures on her Instagram feed.
With a video caption that said, “You’re too old to be starting a family,” she also responds to some of her detractors, miming, “I don’t give a f**k, I got my mind made up.”
The pair has expressed how delighted they are to be starting a family together.

Cheryl remarked, “It was an amazing feeling to find out we were going to have a baby. We get to start our own family. I am the happiest now than I have ever been before. It will make our family so much happier as we will love the baby unconditionally.”
“I cried with tears of joy when I found out,” Quran continued. “This will be my very first child. I have never felt love like this apart from the time I got married to Cheryl.”
“Baby girl or baby boy it doesn’t matter. I am having a baby and we are starting our life together. Even though Cheryl won’t be the biological mother, blood doesn’t make you family and she will be the best mom.”
Despite the fact that the couple was 37 years apart, some people were more judgmental of their union than supportive.
If and when the family gets back together following the birth of Cheryl and Quran’s child, only time will tell.
