It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Benji Gregory, the beloved star from our childhood. At just 46 years old, he was discovered lifeless in his car. The news has left the world mourning the loss of a talented actor and a kind soul.

The Legacy of Benji Gregory

Benji Gregory is best remembered for his role as Brian Tanner on the hit TV show ‘ALF’. From 1986 to 1990, he captured viewers’ hearts with his portrayal of the endearing Brian. The TV show depicted the amusing adventures of a California family who took in an alien named ALF. The alien’s hilarious antics as he tried to hide his true identity brought laughter to millions.

A Tragic Loss

Benji’s sister, Rebecca, shared with TMZ that he was found lifeless at a Chase Bank in Peoria, Arizona. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but those close to him suspect he may have suffered from heat stroke after passing out in his car. Unfortunately, Benji’s loyal service dog, Hans, also perished. It is a heartbreaking loss that has left the family and fans devastated.

A Talented Actor and a Kind Soul

Born on May 26, 1978, in a Los Angeles suburb, Benji Gregory began his television career as a child in the 1980s. He appeared in popular shows such as ‘The A-Team,’ ‘T.J. Hooker,’ ‘Punky Brewster,’ ‘The Twilight Zone,’ and Steven Spielberg’s ‘Amazing Stories.’ Even at a young age, his talent and charisma shone through on screen.

Remembering Benji’s Love for Dogs

Benji Gregory was not only a talented actor but also a huge dog lover. His Instagram profile showcased his passions, with “Lover of dogs” holding a special place. He often shared about his service dog, Hans, who provided him with love and support throughout his life.

Honoring Benji’s Memory

In honor of Benji Gregory’s memory, his sister Rebecca has requested that those who wish to pay tribute donate to either The Actors Equity Foundation or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). These organizations are dedicated to supporting the arts and preventing animal abuse.

Benji’s last Instagram post from April 10 touched our hearts. It showed a photo of a sidewalk with a caption that read, “Wish my dog, Hans, would grow out of this ‘tagging’ phase already.” Today, that post serves as a touching final memory of a cherished actor and his beloved canine companion.
