The Old House from 1887: A Stunning Transformation

For years, neighbors watched as an incredible house in York, Pennsylvania, rotted away. Built in 1887, this Queen Anne-style home, featuring intricate brick details, five bedrooms, and three bathrooms, was on the brink of collapse.

Despite its dire condition, one person recognized the house’s potential and undertook a remarkable restoration. The transformation is astounding: the 2,879-square-foot house now boasts inviting shades of olive green, terracotta red, and gold. The interior, while not entirely original, preserves the home’s historic charm, enhanced by five different types of wood floors and stained glass windows that illuminate the rooms with colorful light.

Each room exudes timeless charm with vibrant color schemes, such as the pink dining room, blending historic elegance with modern convenience. Originally licensed as a bed-and-breakfast, the house went viral when it was up for sale, attracting widespread admiration.

Today, no longer for sale, the house is valued at $332,900, a testament to its restored beauty and enduring appeal.
