Fox Hosts Burst Into Laughter Over KJP’s Farewell

Posted on January 9, 2025 By Star No Comments on Fox Hosts Burst Into Laughter Over KJP’s Farewell

Fox News hosts could not contain their laughter when discussing White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s farewell.

During a segment on “Fox & Friends,” co-hosts Guy Benson, Rachel Campos-Duffy, and Charlie Hurt reflected on Jean-Pierre’s record and reacted to her recently posting a photo of the press team at the White House, which she claimed was the “best in the business.”

Critics of President Joe Biden’s administration on X swiftly challenged the post, disputing her claim and accusing Jean-Pierre of consistently misrepresenting facts on behalf of the president throughout his tenure.

“It takes an army to come up with non-answers and lies,” conservative columnist Tim Young commented on Jean-Pierre’s post.

The outgoing press secretary posted a photo on her X account Friday, showing her alongside President Biden and about a dozen staff members, all smiling for the camera.

She then captioned the photo, stating, “Here’s to the best team in the business. I couldn’t do it without you. Let’s run through the tape! #thewestwing #POTUS #WhiteHouse.”

Below is KJP’s tweet with the photo that has been widely mocked:

Below is the Fox News segment of the hosts bursting into laughter over “KJP’s farewell”:

The photo went viral and attracted criticism from critics who expressed frustration with Jean-Pierre’s tenure as press secretary.

Washington Times columnist Tim Murtaugh gave the outgoing press secretary and her staff a stern goodbye, writing, “This ‘best team in the business’ lied to the world about the mental & physical fitness of the president and, ultimately, failed. Their work led to Trump’s huge win, which was a complete repudiation of everything they did in the most important jobs they’ll ever have.”

“Nice work,” he added.

The Free Press columnist Eli Lake asked, “In what business is this the best team?”

“Obviously KJP’s next career will be in writing comedy. She’s pretty good at it, apparently,” the USA Features Media account noted.

Conservative radio host Michael Berry ripped Jean-Pierre and her team, posting, “Dumb and dumber. And dumber. And even dumber. And yet more dumb. And shockingly even dumber than that. And . . .”

“They’re actually all the worst in the business which means they’ll be making $300k+ in That Town within a couple months,” added Washington Free Beacon investigative reporter Chuck Ross.

Fox News columnist David Marcus criticized the White House communications team, accusing them of misrepresenting President Biden’s health and other significant issues throughout his presidency. “So these are the people who aided in lying to the American citizenry about Biden’s mental capacity and plans to pardon his son. Got it. I’d put a bag over my head I were one of them,” he wrote.

RedState.com writer Bonchie stated, “I keep waiting for her to exhibit some semblance of shame, but she just doesn’t have it in her.”

The Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway also shredded KJP and her team, declaring, “There is not an easier job in the universe than being press secretary for a Democrat. And yet somehow y’all still failed.”

Jean-Pierre’s final year as press secretary was punctuated by a series of high-profile missteps and controversial defenses of President Biden’s tenure.

Notable moments included sparking a feud with CBS reporter Ed O’Keefe when she declined to address his question about a neurologist from Walter Reed Military Medical Center visiting Biden multiple times that year. She also faced backlash for labeling criticism of Biden’s inflammatory rhetoric about then-candidate Donald Trump—who had narrowly escaped two assassination attempts—as “incredibly dangerous.” Additionally, she dismissed circulating videos of Biden appearing frail as “cheap fakes.”

Throughout her tenure, she often struggled to answer basic questions as though she was searching for an appropriate response, leading to a wave of criticism even from many ‘mainstream’ reporters.
