It’s not completely clear what it is about Donald Trump that makes the Democrats so insane when it comes to dealing with him. It could be his unabashed style, his ‘take no prisoners’ approach, his refusal to back down or succumb to petty threats, their inability to impeach him and throw him in prison for the rest of his life — or a combination of all of these things. But one thing is certain: Each new executive action moves the Donkey Party one step closer to being a political insane asylum, and a new order Trump signed on Monday will move them even closer into the mental abyss.
On March 1, 2025, Trump signed an executive order designating English as America’s official language. While the move sparked outrage on the left, it’s worth noting that roughly 180 countries already have at least one official language. Today, according to an exclusive report from Breitbart, Trump is expected to take the policy a step further on Monday by signing an executive order requiring commercial truck drivers to be proficient in English. Not to put to fine a point on this subject, but maybe an executive order requiring 800-number operators to speak English fluently could be next? Or is that a step too far?
Per the report: President Trump believes that English is a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers, as they should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officers, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station personnel, and provide and receive feedback and directions in English.
Under the president’s order, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be directed “to rescind and replace guidance to strengthen inspection procedures for compliance with English proficiency requirements,” according to the White House document. And of course, now that this is happening, we can expect Democrats to resort to the same old, tired, and false accusation that Trump is a “racist bigot” and “Hitler wannabe” though we’d bet that polling on the issue would be another 80-20 thing for Democrats: 80 percent of Americans in favor, 20 percent not – along the lines of no biological men in women’s sports, there are only two genders, and mass deportations.
According to the document, an existing federal requirement that commercial drivers read and speak English “has not been enforced.” As a result, the expected executive order will “mandate revising out-of-service criteria to ensure drivers violating English proficiency rules are placed out of service, enhancing roadway safety.” Additionally, the order will direct Duffy to improve working conditions for truck drivers through “additional administrative, regulatory, or enforcement actions,” according to the order.
Trump’s March order noted, in part: To promote unity, cultivate a shared American culture for all citizens, ensure consistency in government operations, and create a pathway to civic engagement, it is in America’s best interest for the Federal Government to designate one — and only one — official language. Establishing English as the official language will not only streamline communication but also reinforce shared national values, and create a more cohesive and efficient society.
But who could be against a shared history, shared culture, shared societal norms and mores, and unity? You guessed it: Democrats. Wait and see. The exploding heads within the TDS Party are set to go off in 3…2…1…
