Border Czar Homan Just Gave Sanctuary City Dems A Reason To Panic

Posted on May 1, 2025 By Star No Comments on Border Czar Homan Just Gave Sanctuary City Dems A Reason To Panic

Since before he took office as President Donald Trump’s border czar, career federal immigration enforcer Tom Homan has been dropping ample warnings to blue state and city Democrats attempting to defend their illegal immigrant “sanctuary” policies, they were skating on thin legal ice. The law is clear, he has regularly stated: Not only is it a violation of federal law to break into the country, once a migrant does cross illegally, it is also unlawful to harbor them and shield them from federal immigration officials.

Now, it seems, Homan is preparing to follow through on those warnings, and it likely won’t work out so well for the Democrats who run these illegal immigrant safe havens who have continued to arrogantly defy him. First a review: Federal law 8 U.S. Code § 1324 carries penalties of prison time for anybody who “brings to or attempts to bring to,” “moves or attempts to transport or move,” “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection” illegal aliens. Charges may be increased if an alien causes injury or death to another person, which is unfortunately common with violent criminal aliens. Sanctuary policies implemented by Democratic officials clearly violate federal law.

“When they cross the line of harboring and concealing, that’s a felony, and we got [US Attorney General] Pam Bondi now, who won’t hesitate to take action,” Homan has said. Since, a former New Mexico judge and a Milwaukee County judge were arrested for harboring and concealing illegal aliens, serving as a warning to sanctuary officials whose policies and noncompliance with ICE obstruct justice. After the arrest of Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers (D) issued a memo on April 18 that outlines clear procedures for state workers to follow in order to obstruct ICE agents when they arrive at government buildings.

Homan told a press gaggle Thursday to “wait and see what’s coming” for the Democrat officials, like Evers, perhaps, who are harboring and concealing illegal aliens. “I meant what I said,” he added. “You can not support what we’re doing, and you can support sanctuary cities if that’s what you want to do. But if you cross that line of impidement or knowingly harboring and concealing illegal aliens, that is a felony, and we will treat it as such.”

Homan may be a lot of things to a lot of people, but he’s no BS’er. So far, everything he’s announced, he’s followed through with regarding immigration enforcement, which means he not only has the support of Kristi Nome at DHS and Bondi, but also President Trump. So at this point forward, it appears, Democrats who actively harbor illegals and impede the enforcement of immigration law are playing with fire.
