Former CNN Host Rejects Network, Democrat Narrative Trump Is ‘A Dictator’

Posted on June 22, 2025 By Star No Comments on Former CNN Host Rejects Network, Democrat Narrative Trump Is ‘A Dictator’

Former CNN International anchor Robyn Curnow criticized both her former network and the Democratic Party for their dismissive coverage and narratives regarding the administration and President Trump’s widespread support.

“Trump was an elected leader and has the broad mandate and support of much of America,” Curnow said during a recent podcast appearance. She then recalled some strange backlash she received for stating the basic fact that Trump was elected by democratic means.

“When I pointed that out to somebody the other day who was complaining that America is in dangerous times, they said to me, ‘well, you know, the Germans supported Hitler and the Russians support Putin,’ as if this is suddenly just an excuse to decimate an entire democratic election in a democratic nation,” the former CNN host continued.

“Every single vote was counted and every poll since then, even if you didn’t vote for Donald Trump, is pointing to the fact that he has a broad mandate from the American people. That does not make them a bunch of Nazis in Germany supporting Hitler. It’s a weak goddamn argument,” she said.

Democrats have increasingly used what can be described as wartime rhetoric to characterize their political opponents, a trend clearly seen during last week’s “No Kings” protests. At one demonstration, U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) even outrageoulsy declared, “Donald Trump is America’s Hitler.”

Left-wing Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) appeared to suggest that Americans should consider using all available means, including unrest and rebellion, to remove the democratically elected president from office.

“Those of us who aspire and attain public office are nothing but servants of the people. And the moment that somebody in public office begins to act like the master of the people, that is the moment to evict, eject, reject, impeach, try, convict, and start all over again,” he ranted, failing to provide any examples of Trump’s supposedly tyrannical conduct.
