Democrat Whistleblower Says Schiff Directed Intel Leaks to Damage Trump

Posted on August 17, 2025 By Star No Comments on Democrat Whistleblower Says Schiff Directed Intel Leaks to Damage Trump

A Democratic congressional staffer has alleged that U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) directed intelligence officials to leak classified information in an effort to undermine President Donald Trump, according to newly disclosed documents.

The claim, reported by Just The News, comes from a staffer whose biography shows more than a decade of service on the House Intelligence Committee. The individual says they personally witnessed Schiff engage in such conduct dating back to 2017.

In a transcript, the staffer characterized Schiff’s directive to leak classified material as “treasonous” and “illegal,” as well as a clear violation of House Ethics rules. The FBI most recently interviewed the staffer in 2023, during which they reiterated that they saw Schiff personally authorize the leak.

“When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” the documents state, per Just The News. “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”

“[The whistleblower] stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information,” the report added.

John Solomon, one of the reporters who broke the story, told Fox News that the FBI is expected to soon identify additional individuals believed to have conspired with Sen. Adam Schiff to leak damaging information about President Donald Trump.

“This is the first of several major leak investigations we’re going to see over the next several days,” Solomon said. “You’re going to see other major people that were clearly identified by the FBI, having leaked classified secrets.”

“Their own staff turned them in when interviewed by the FBI. Nothing, again, happened,” he added. “It’s a common pattern. The question now is, in Donald Trump’s Justice Department, does that dynamic change?”

FBI Director Kash Patel agreed in an X post on Monday. “Now Congress can see how classified info was leaked to shape political narratives – and decide if our institutions were weaponized against the American people,” he wrote.

News of Schiff’s alleged conduct emerges as federal prosecutors consider charging him with criminal mortgage fraud. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has appointed a special prosecutor to handle the investigation.

Schiff, elected to the Senate in 2024 after serving in the House since 2003, allegedly listed a Maryland property as his primary residence for years while representing a California district, only amending the paperwork in 2019.
