Strip away the noise, and this is a political disaster for Democrats. They know it, which is why they’re leaning so hard on the legacy media to run interference for them. But it won’t work.
The Democrat–media complex is working overtime, trotting out talking heads to corner Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republicans on the issue of giving health care to illegal aliens.
That’s an easy one to swat down. Democrats are the ones who chose to shut down the government rather than back off their $1.5 trillion demand for illegal alien health care and even more taxpayer money for National Public Radio.
Let’s be honest: this is just a backdoor scheme to unravel the Big, Beautiful Bill Republicans passed in July. And Republicans would be insane to give them an inch.
The cracks are already showing, and Republicans should exploit them without hesitation. Democrats have openly admitted they want to give health care to illegal aliens — it was right there on stage during the 2020 primary debates. Rep. Ro Khanna has even conceded that taxpayer dollars are flowing to illegals.
The good news is that the legacy press no longer carries the weight it once did. CNN can scream all it wants, but Americans aren’t buying it. They’ve even let slip the truth themselves: Democrats want to extend health care benefits to people here illegally:
And let’s kill off another tired talking point while we’re at it: the claim that “it’s already illegal for illegals to get health care.” That sounds nice on paper, but in practice, it’s meaningless.
Gotta hold the line, GOP. Hold. The. Line.
