Not surprisingly, the Democrats’ talking points for their so-called “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” rolled out right on cue—on Columbus Day, of course. You could practically set your watch by it. And leading the charge were, predictably, members of the radical “Squad”—past and present—howling the loudest on social media about tearing down American traditions and rewriting history.
Among them was former Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO)—yes, the same Cori Bush who, as we’ve reported before, has apparently decided that two miserable, scandal-plagued terms in Congress just weren’t enough. She wrote, “On #IndigenousPeoplesDay, we recognize that St. Louis sits on the ancestral lands of the Chickasaw Nation, Illini Tribe, Ioway Tribe, Kickapoo Tribe, Osage Nation, Otoe-Missouria Tribe, & Quapaw Nation.”
She added, “The US must reckon with its colonial history & honor Indigenous leadership” – though she didn’t explain what she meant by we’d have to “reckon” with it.
Another was Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who took to X to make this bone-headed claim:
Happy Indigenous People’s [sic] Day!
We are all on stolen land.
And while Republicans try to whitewash American history, we acknowledge our country’s role in inflicting trauma on our Indigenous neighbors.
We’ll keep celebrating their contributions, centering Native voices in our policymaking, & building a more just, equitable future.
This isn’t just a ridiculous argument—it’s a dangerous one, and I’ll explain why in a moment. But first, let’s look at some of the spot-on reactions that cut through the nonsense, including a few that lay out the historical reality the left loves to ignore:
Others were quick to point out the obvious: if Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, and the rest of the Democrat chorus truly believe their own rhetoric about “stolen land,” then why don’t they lead by example and give their own land back?
It’s the classic left-wing hypocrisy—all talk, no sacrifice. They’ll lecture the rest of America from their taxpayer-funded offices and multimillion-dollar homes about guilt and reparations, but when it comes to actually living by their own principles:
Further, if you are truly “living on stolen land,” you absolutely ought not be making money from it…right??
Beyond all of that, there’s a much bigger problem here — this toxic mindset is poisoning an entire generation. Young, impressionable people — many of whom don’t know any better or have been completely indoctrinated by left-wing professors and politicians — are being taught to hate America because they’ve been told it’s “stolen land.”
We’ve seen this same nonsense play out in deep-blue states like California, where America-hating educators, activists, and politicians push the absurd idea that the state “really belongs to Mexico.” It’s the same anti-American propaganda that fuels chaos and division — the same ideology that inspired rioters to wave Mexican flags during the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles this past June.
Now, if you actually believe we’re living on “stolen land,” it’s not a stretch to assume you also believe the supposed “original owners” have some kind of moral right to take it back — by any means necessary. That’s the logical (and terrifying) endpoint of this warped ideology.
And let’s be clear — that mindset is toxic. It’s not just destructive for the individual who buys into it, it’s poisonous for the country. It teaches young Americans that their nation is illegitimate, that America was founded on a lie, and that the principles of liberty, equality, and self-determination are meaningless.
That’s not just damaging, it’s dangerous — which is exactly why this “stolen land” nonsense from the woketivist crowd needs to be nuked and buried ten feet deep. It’s Marxist guilt politics dressed up as moral virtue, and it corrodes everything it touches.
