WATCH: Trump Blitzs DC Reporter Over Stupid Question About New Ballroom

Posted on October 23, 2025 By Star No Comments on WATCH: Trump Blitzs DC Reporter Over Stupid Question About New Ballroom

On Wednesday, vintage President Trump showed up in full force, delivering a masterclass in dismantling the media when he cooked Reuters’ Jeff Mason over the so-called “controversy” surrounding the East Room construction — the latest obsession sending liberal America into a meltdown.

Mason, trying to score points, asked what Trump would say to those who claim the project hasn’t been “transparent.” Big mistake. Trump didn’t miss a beat:

President Donald Trump slammed Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason as a “third-rate reporter” on Wednesday, after Mason asked the president to respond to critics who have said “you haven’t been transparent enough about” the demolition of the East Wing in order to make room for a new ballroom.

Trump ripped Mason in front of other reporters and on live TV while taking questions at the White House.

“I haven’t been transparent? Really?” Trump said incredulously.

He continued: “I’ve shown this to everybody that would listen. Third-rate reporters didn’t see it because they didn’t look. You’re a third-rate reporter, always have been.”

“I’m just asking—” Mason could be heard faintly saying in the background.

“So third-rate reporters didn’t look, but anybody that asked, these pictures have been in newspapers, they’ve been all over the place, and you know, we’re very proud of it,” Trump continued. “It’s gotten great reviews. It’s gotten really great reviews.”

Mason made sure to highlight the “transparency” angle in his piece — because that’s the Left’s real goal here. The project is being funded by President Trump himself, along with a group of private donors, and that’s exactly what’s driving liberal America crazy. They don’t care about transparency for the sake of accountability; they want names so they can dox, harass, and intimidate anyone who dares support the project.

This isn’t the first time President Trump and Reuters’ Jeff Mason have gone head-to-head. The Trump team actually resurfaced one of their classic clashes from 2020 — when Mason stubbornly refused to remove his mask while asking a question from more than 50 feet away during the height of COVID hysteria. The topic back then? The Atlantic’s infamous “suckers and losers” hoax — yet another piece of fake news that the media peddled to smear Trump.

And Mason hasn’t changed a bit. Just last November, during a talk with the National Press Foundation about the 2024 election, he openly cast doubt on the public’s support for Trump’s mass deportation plans – yes, that same plan that helped Trump secure a record-breaking electoral college and popular vote win last year.
